On the Sunday, 27th of November I placed two orders, one wiyth yourselves and the other on eBay. Both stated that delivery should be expected on the upcoming Thursday or Friday. There was a strike on Thursday so I allowed for some delay. The other parcel was delivered on Saturday. I received some acknowledgement from Royal Mail but trcking information kept showing that they were still waiting to receive teh parcel from you. Today ( 12th December) I finally received acknowledment of receipt of the parcel fro Royal Mail but with noasperational delivery date indicated. There was a note implying that at present indicated delivery dates are aspirational as the industrial actions have caused delays and backlogs.
The fact that both orders were placed within minutes of each other indicates that the one day delay could be expected, but further delays are less likely. It is uncertain whether Royal Mail in your area were much more severly affected by the earliest strike action than in the other area or whether there was a longer initial delay in dispatching the parcel to them. In any event, it would appear that my brushba,r which is urgently needed to ensure proper functioning of my vacuum cleaner, will finally be arriving at some future unknown date.
