Live and neutral wrong way

The live and neutral were the wrong way around compared to the original cable. The block that locates at bottom of the hair dryer can only fit in one direction. So I had to extend and reroute the cable to make it fit. When questioned they have had no reports which I struggle to believe
But the quality is better than original just a shame about the connections.
